Petroleum Jetty, Bintulu Port, Bintulu, Sarawak

Description

This jetty for the import and export of petroleum products within the Bintulu Harbour was designed and supervised by The Firm in 1988.

2nd LNG Berth, Bintulu Port, Bintulu, Sarawak

Description

The Firm participated in the design and construction of the 2nd  LNG Berth.


The project scope included a considerable amount of capital dredging. The Firm designed the improvement to the navigation channel, the turning basin and the LNG-2 harbour for the safe handling and ease of manoeuvrability of LNG tankers.


The Firm also designed the reclamation scheme which ensured the future usability and expansion of the Port on this reclaimed land.

Shell MDS Jetty, Bintulu, Sarawak

Description
This Shell Jetty in Bintulu was designed by The Firm.  The design and construction took three and ten months respectively, as the project was critical to the timely export of the petrochemical products from the Shell MDS plant through this marine facility.

The Firm was able to incorporate innovative construction technique to the design to allow rapid construction to the high standards and quality of works.

LPG Jetty, Bintulu Port, Bintulu, Sarawak

Description

The LPG is designed by The Firm on a fast-track programme using in-house Malaysian Professionals who have the specialist capabilities and expertise to carry out the design of such a specialised and sophisticated marine structure.

450m Container Berth, Bintulu Port, Bintulu, Sarawak

Description

The new wharf was designed to accommodate vessels up to 65,000 DWT with draught 12.5 metres. It is equipped with crane rails for the container gantry cranes  (2nd generation & Panamax class).

 

The main scope of the works is the construction and completion of 450m metre long wharf extension and approximately 220,000 square metres of adjoining Operation and Storage Yard.

Bintulu Port Master Plan, Bintulu Port, Bintulu, Sarawak

Description

The Firm undertook a Master Plan study for the Bintulu Port for the development of a second harbour and access channel up to year 2010.  Planning and engineering by in house professionals address a multitude of issues relevant to the Bintulu Port situation.

Capital Dredging, Reclamation And Shore Protection Works, Bintulu Port, Bintulu, Sarawak

Description

This project involved capital dredging of a new access channel and New Second Inner Harbour basin.  A total of 30.5 million cubic meter of dredged volume was recorded.  The suitable dredged material was utilised for reclaiming a port land of 110 hectare in anticipation of future development.  A 2.7km long detached breakwater and 1.6km long submerged breakwater were constructed to protect the approximately 12km coastline South of the Port.


The Firm participated both in design and construction of the project. The project was completed ahead of schedule and within budgeted cost.

LNG3 Berth, Bintulu Port, Bintulu, Sarawak

Description

The new berth was designed to cater for LNG tankers up to 145,000m3 size.  Because of tight schedule of delivering the jetty for topworks construction and final startup, innovative design allowing rapid construction technique was adopted without relaxation to the high standards and quality of works.

 

The design of this jetty was fully carried out by the firm in-house Malaysian Professionals.  The firm also participated in the construction supervision of the jetty which was completed within the targeted schedule and budgeted cost.

Coastal Protection Scheme At LNG Complex, Bintulu, Sarawak

Description

Coastal Protection to protect vital installation of MLNG / MLNG DUA / MLNG TIGA against severe coastline erosion was designed and supervised by the Firm in 2002 to 2003.

Palm Oil Terminal At 2nd Inner Harbour, Bintulu Port, Bintulu, Sarawak

Description

The palm oil terminal is designed to accommodate palm oil tankers up to 50,000 DWT and / or 220m LOA.

 

The design of this palm oil terminal is carried out by the Firm using in-house Malaysian Professionals.

Description

The Firm has been engaged as EPCC Consultant to provide professional engineering services in connection with the investigation, study, design and construction supervision for the project.

1000 m General Cargo Wharf, Bintulu Port, Bintulu, Sarawak

Description

The proposed new cargo wharf was designed to accommodate cargo vessels up to 50,000 DWT with draught 12.4 metres.

 

It is equipped with 500m of crane rails provisions for the unloader cranes.

 

The main scope of the works is the construction and completion of 1000m long general cargo wharf and a ro-ro ramp at the eastern end of the wharf.

ROAD AND HIGHWAY

Bakong Meradong Road, Bintangor, Sarikei Division, Sarawak
Description
Survey, investigation, design, tender documentation, contract administration and construction supervision were carried out for the 16.7 km long road serving as the main feeder road to the farming area extensively planted with pepper, cocoa, fruit trees and rubber.  The road transverses undulating ground.  The road carriageway is 6.5 m wide finished with bitumen double surface dressing. There is a 60 m long reinforced concrete bridge supported on steel H-piles.

Tabuan Road, Kuching, Sarawak
Description
Survey, investigation, design, tender documentation and construction supervision were carried out for the improvement and upgrading of the existing 1 km long Tabuan Road.
 
The existing 2-lane carriageway was upgraded to a 4-lane urban road with a raised median to maintain smoother traffic flow befitting its role as a stretch of the protocol road from Kuching International Airport to the City Center and the State Legislative Building.  Paved footways, covered drains and street lighting are included.

Kuching Outer Ring Road, Kuching, Sarawak

Description

This 30 km long road provides an alternative route linking Kuching and Kota Samarahan and their hinterland namely Penrissen and Serian areas.  The first stretch of 14 km including six gyratories is a trunk road to provide fast travel between Kuching and Kota Samarahan.  The remaining length leading to Penrissen area is of feeder road standard serving the more rural area of Penrissen and Serian.


The road is completed on a turnkey basis for the Department of Public Works, Sarawak. Survey, investigation, design and quality assurance were carried out.  The road has been opened in 1997 to the delight of the road users.

Semariang Road, Kuching, Sarawak
Description
This 2 km urban road is located just at the foot of Bukit Siol, on top of which the Kuching North City Hall is situated.  It is the main thoroughfare leading to the City Hall.

This is a divided dual carriageway with two lanes each finished with bitumen premix surface.  Street lighting is provided and the road is beautified with landscaping.  The road is now serving as a grand entrance to the City Hall.

Bakong-Lingga Coastal Road, Sri Aman Division, Sarawak

Description

This is a 21.2 km long coastal road forming a part of the Sarawak State Coastal Road System proposed to link all the major coastal towns in Sarawak.  It commences at Lingga Town and runs more or less parallel to Batang Lupar and ends at Kampung Bakong, a small population centre at the bank of Batang Lupar.

 

The road goes through swampy and peaty ground. The road is completed on a turnkey basis for the Department of Public Works, Sarawak. Survey, investigation, design and quality assurance were carried out.

Infrastructure Works for South Port Area, Bintulu Port, Bintulu, Sarawak

Description

Survey, investigation, design, tender documentation and construction supervision were carried out for the

upgrading of existing 1.2 km long 2-lane carriageway and new 2.2 km long 4-lane road South Port area of

Bintulu Port.

 

The construction of the new road is inclusive of all necessary infrastructure facilities i.e. water supply and

electricity supply.

Water Supply Project, Miri, Sarawak
Description
The project is a water supply improvement scheme to improve the existing Miri Water Supply System.
 
Detailed analysis of the water demand within the greater Miri Region and the technical solution and design are undertaken by the firm whose services also includes the construction supervision of large diameter pipeline over long distance.

Description
Miri Municipal Council Car Park is situated in the centre of the Miri town.  The building has a total floor area approximately 22,000 square meter and consists of five (5) storeys.

RPR Kidurong Phase IV Low Cost Housing Scheme, Bintulu, Sarawak
Description
The RPR Kidurong Phase IV is another housing project carried out by Bintulu Development Authority to provide low to medium cost housing for the people in Bintulu.  The project cost is RM26 millions. 
 
There are all together 361 units of houses comprising of 132 units single storey and 229 units double storey residential houses.

Description
The Bulk Fertilizer Handling/Storage Facilities is situated near the existing CMS Wharf.

The design of this Bulk Fertilizer Handling/Storage Facilities was fully carried out by the firm using in-house Malaysian Professionals.  The firm also participated in the construction supervision of the project which was completed within the targeted schedule and budgeted cost.

3-Storey Pusat Kecemerlangan Ummah (Madrasah), Bintulu, Sarawak

Description

The Pusat Kecemerlangan Ummah (Madrasah) is situated near the RPR Sibiew, Bintulu.


This unique 3-storey building has a floor area of approximately 5000 m2.  There are 18 offices, 26 classrooms, a cafeteria and an Assembly area of 740m2.
